Downer Group Warwick McEvoy Memorial Scholarship

In 2026, UniSQ will offer one Downer Group Warwick McEvoy Memorial Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Business, or Bachelor of Accounting (including double degree programs).

The scholarship has been established by Downer Group in memory of Warwick McEvoy, a UniSQ alumnus who graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business. Warwick held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Downer Mining.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment.

Applicants must:

  • be a currently residing in Australia
  • be a
  • be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Business, or Bachelor of Accounting (including double degree programs) in Trimester 1 2026
  • have an income at or below the financial threshold limits.

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • describe the experiences or influences which have driven your passion for your chosen field of study
    • describe your career goals within your chosen field, and the impact that you hope to make as a professional
  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final year school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results) 
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
